PLOT and SUMMARY:
Where the Crawdads Sing is based on a novel of the same name by Delia Owens. It tells the story of Kya, who was abandoned in marshland as an infant and raised by marsh creatures with little human contact. As she grows up, her curiosity about people leads her to explore their world and interact with them against warnings from her adoptive family that they are dangerous. A young girl’s coming-of-age tale ensues, but one that is fraught with danger at every turn.
